School Houses

Pupils and staff at North Heath are split into 4 different houses. To link with our school tree logo, each of the houses is named after a (relatively) nearby wood or forest. The houses each have colours assigned to them.

In class and around school, pupils collect personal Merit stamps for impressive behaviour, exemplary effort and work of a particularly high standard. These are collected on their individual stamper cards. 44 stamps results in a Bronze Award Certificate which is presented in assembly. These are followed by Silver, Gold and the most impressive Platinum Awards.

Each stamp on a Merit Card also provides the pupil’s house with a House Point. Pupils can also be awarded House Points for other activities and positive behaviours that might not quite meet the standard of a Merit stamp. These are added up each week for our Token Tally in Friday’s Assembly – the winner each week receiving 5 Tokens, 2nd Place receives 3 Tokens, 3rd Place 2 Tokens and 4th Place 1 Token. Other activities such as Sports Days also add extra tokens to the tallies.

There is great excitement at the end of the Summer Term when we discover the year’s champion house!
