At North Heath Community Primary, we recognise the immense value of outdoor learning.  Our journey begins in Reception, where our new Reception outdoor learning environment supports early exploration and sensory experiences.  This commitment to outdoor learning continues throughout the school, utilising our extensive grounds. The three playgrounds and large field with running track, provide ample space for all pupils to enjoy.

Year One and Two have a dedicated outdoor learning space where they are challenged to further develop the skills and initiative from their Reception year.

Key Stage Two pupils benefit from our unique cross curricular orienteering course which mixes physical activity with different areas of the curriculum, making learning both engaging and active.

Supported by external professional coaches, all our pupils experience a range of sports including athletics, basketball, football, golf, netball and tag rugby amongst others.
